Angry Finally realizing crappiness of stock TC

After installing my chip and having loads of newfound power, it now makes me grimace when pulling loads upwards of 12K how much of this power is wasted in the TC. It is so uneconomical...It still takes forever to accelerate under load because, prior to lockup, the motor can makes loads of RPMs but the trans is constantly playing catchup because the TC can't make any of the RPMs into forward motion. After my valve body mods I am pleased anough with the shifting characteristics of my pickup, but I hate trying to accelerate from stops in town with loads and running 2500 RPMS for what seems like forever just to get the thing up to speed. I am nervous about installing the TC Lock switch mod because I am worried about forgetting/locking up improperly and causing myself problems that way. And really don't want to spend $$$ for the Suncaost/BTS converters either. I guess the lockup switch is my best option? Is this something I can do when I get rolling, let off the gas for a second and switch it on so as not to try and lockup between massive differences in Flywheel vs. TC speeds? This is a new trans FYI. Just venting/wondering how to fix cheap...
