swap 1979 300 six with 1986 300 six (urgent)
I was wondering if I could swap my 86' 300 six in my f150 with a 79' 300 six ?
Does anyone know if that will interchange?

sector...you should have no problems making the swap...the only thing that you may want to check is if your motor mounts will match up...i heard somewhere that somewhere in the 80's they changed to a different style of mount...other than that...there should be no problems...

It will work fine.
The 86 has a rear sump pan, but it clears the steering linkage on the 79 chassis.
I have a rear sump in my 79.
