2005 F250 Superduty 5.4l

Have a 2005 F250 Superduty that feels like the wheels are spinning or it is slipping when starting out from a stop. It doesn’t happen every time and seems to happen more when slightly uphill. If I “baby” it when starting, it doesn’t happen as much but it does happen when using low, moderate or heavy throttle when starting. I am thinking it may be slip yoke related and hope it is not a transmission issue but not sure. Going into shop next week. Any insight from anyone is appreciated. Thanks.

Not sure if it's the same thing but my truck was doing something similar. Thanks to this group I discovered the splines on the rear of the drive shaft were bone dry. Lube them up and it fixed it.

Thanks for the response. Everything feels tight and is shifting good through the gears, I’m hoping that is all that it is (slip needs greased or worse case replaced). Thanks again.
