Question Removing 200,000 mile old spark plugs

It may not be a Ford but can you all give me some advice. My father in law owns a gmc with a 4.3 liter. He has asked that I change this plugs for him. I'm afraid that I'll break off the plugs. Should I try to remove them when they are hot???

Thanks
Nate

Let it cool completely. Aluminum heads and steel plugs do tend to grow together. Use anti seize when you put em back. I don't know any other tricks but try to get a good socket and good angle on it the first time.

I find if you let it warm up ,not too hot to the ooint that you cant toch it,then spray them with a good nut breaker they will come out alot easier, the heat draws the lubricant into the threads.

Soak 'em good like RichardMaerz69 said and blow out around them with compressed air to get rid of debris. Don't try to reef on them while trying to get them out. Use steady pressure till they loosen. Usually I expect to break off an insulator or two on the real tough ones.
