I have a 2001 Ford Exploerer Sport Trac. The power doorlocks don't work. I have checked the fuses — none seem to be blown. Any ideas?

Thanks for your reply. No, neither door lock works. I noticed it started to "fritz out" slowly. Or, I should say, it started to act up a bit at first. One day the lock just kept spinning or you know just kept trying to lock or unlock, I can't remember which. All I can say is it acted as if it just kept wanting to whir. That was about a month ago. It worked okay for a while after that and then one day - poof nothing.

Where is the GEM? And wouldn't its malfunction affect other electronic stuff?

Sounds like bad actuator to me.
