D44, D60 Swap
I got a 76 F250 with a low pinion 44 in front, and jest bot a high pinion 60. I think it out of an 80's, it has crossover steering and a swaybare.
Wut my question is can i swap them, and how. I mesured the spring purches and the 44 is 4" narrower. How can i fix this and not cost too much...

proeliator is running this axle in the fron of his highboy....your right the spring perches on the 44 shoudl measuree 32.5, and 36.5 on that 85-97 dana 60. the easiest thing to do would be move the spring mounts out to match the perches like pro did...
or sell the axle for 1000 bucks on ebay and turn around and buy a 78-79 dana 60 with the right width and bolt it in
