A throttle body spacer along with an intake system

I have heard rumors that adding a throttle body spacer along with an air intake system causes a whisteling sound? Has anyone done this and experienced this sound?

No rumor, it does add a suction (whistling) sound under hard acceleration. Some like it, some don't. Its like exhaust tone, everyones got their own preference.

I have the power tower spacer with the air system and yes, it sure wistles. But I got use to it and can get decent fuel mileages by driving by the whistling.

I just recently put a K&N FIPK and a Poweraid throttle body spacer. It does add slight whistleing sound when the throttle is slightly opened. I think it sounds cool, sort of like a jet engine or a blow-off valve from a turbo. And I did notice an increase in power and gas mileage.

The throttle body spacers will add 0 in horsepower and torque, there have been many dyno tests done that prove this. Save your money for upgrades that will add something! Does your current intake system whistle without one of these devices? No, of course not, whistleing is assosiated with turbulance in your intake. Turbulance will not ever get you more HP, only less...
