estimate
alright heres the scenerio, my dad has a 1986 f150 351w 2v 4x4 with 126000 mioles on it im thinkin abou buyin it from him but it needs rebuilt badly so my ? is what should i expect to pay to get it bored 20 over?

you know i am not really sure maybe a couple hundred because i believe they hone it as well. A smart choice though, maybe .030 due to convenience would be better but muost people think they need it bored out to the max. Boring doesn't add that much power it is for cleaning up the cylinder walls.

Taking into account you will want to hot tank and magnaflux the block, probably have the align bore checked and the block inspected. Depending on the shop, maybe around $300-$350 with bore. Find the name of a good shop and give them a call, prices do vary quite a bit on this stuff.
