I'm looking to put like at least a class III 2" box receiver type hitch (ala Draw-tite, etc) on my '52 F2. I know the frame is 34" but I was wondering if anyone else has done this and which models fit, or which years are similiar.....
I have not installed a hitch receiver but have considered putting one on my 55. I recently saw an adjustable width receiver in JC Whitney manufactured by Hidden Hitch that caught my eye. It says it adjusts from 31 to 46 inches. Rated at 500 lbs tongue and 5000 lbs gross or 750 tongue and 6000 gross with weight distributing hitch. May be worth checking into. JC Whitney part No. 47SC1907P - $124.99. Good luck

I don't know if you're going to find a fit other than universal one. I plan on using a hitch, but with the fuel tank in the rear and things kinda tight there it will have to be custom.. You weld ???
Some thick wall 2x2 tubing and a receiver stub... two flat 1/4 plates for bolting to the frame and you're in business.
I'm running a roll pan in back with a recessed tag.. my plan is to use a drop down tag holder and hide the hitch behind the tag...
just something to consider and I'm sure a lot cheaper than 129.95 plus shipping... but if you don't weld or have access... well it's www.jcwhit.... you know ??
I put a receiver hitch on my 54 F250 with only minor modifications to the hitch and drilling a couple of holes for mounting in the frame. I think it may have been a hitch for a dodge, but can't remember. It's been on the truck for several years. I'll check tomorrow and see if I can find a model number etc. I believe it was a reese hitch. I still have the stock gas tank and can see where there might be problems if a rear tank was installed.
Thanks for the replies, I was looking on the net at a Reese hitch that fits 63-72 F-100, F-250, F-350, and since that correlates tot he rear end swap years, I suppose it should fit.
