larger tires

If I put larger tires than the stock 235-75-16 on my 2001 S.D. will it goof up my speedometer? I want to go 285-70-16.

Yes, you will make your speedometer read slower than you are actually going, example, Speedo says 65, actually going 70. Larger tires will also throw off your odometer.

Good Luck with your tires.

285x75x16 tires are a common upgrade. You can bring your truck into a dealer and they can recalabrate your speedo in about 15 minutes. You'll need to know the revs per mile if the new tire.
