Question f150 I-6 TO 390 swap

Can anyone tell me how hard or what I'll need
to drop a 390 into my 89 f150 it has a I-6 and
5 speed manuel tranny appreciate any suggestions!!!

Bellhousing's are different, so tranny won't bolt right up. Probably have to fab motor mounts, Fuel system puts out too much pressure for the carbed 390, Computer probably wouldn't hook to the 390 ( not sure on that one ). Throttle linkage, exhaust, Probably quite a bit of modifying. Nothing a set of torches and a welder couldn't fix.

You would have to rewire the charging wiring harness, the 390 did not have an internally regulated regulator. and I dont think the newer style alt. will fit on there. All the 390s ive ever seen have a front sump oil pan, ith I-6 has a rear, You might have to check oil pan clearance.
