Has anyone had a condensation problem? I know very little about this, but I was told that my engine oil is white because condensation is mixing with the oil. Has anyone had this happen?
I have a '86 Bronco with a 302 EFI. This started when I installed a missing thermostat. At first I thought head gasket, but there is no white smoke or low coolant level. I had a compression test done and I had good compression(100+) in all cylinders but one is around 90psi, i think. Other than a slight loss in power, she still runs good.
Never seen this in a vehicle, but have seen it in a vacuum pump situation where water was getting in the oil. Kind of made the oil look frothy and white. I think I would take a sample and head to a Quickie lube or someplace like that and see what they say. Those guys see all types of oil problems.
The guy that did the compression test, said the same thing about the blow by. I'm having trouble understanding it. Is it caused the wear of the piston rings? I guess that explains the oil in the air cleaner box.
The motor was supposedly rebuilt about 80k ago and the vehicle has 207k. I am learly about rebuilding it again. Maybe better to get a reman crate motor.
