90 Econoline van starting problems
Hi folks. My dad and I are contemplating buying a 1990 Econoline van, and we have a problem. It seems that the engine won't start without spraying it down with carb cleaner. At least that's what the owner told my dad. They only want $500 for the van, and my dad's hyped on it, but I'd like to know if anyone here has any idea on what the problem could be.
I'm sorry, but I don't know which engine the van is using. I have yet to see the vehicle.

What gets sprayed with carb cleaner? Throttle body? Intake manifold? This could be any of a lot of things, but if it runs good after it's started, it shouldn't be too hard to fix. Try to get more info...
