I need a turbo vacium for F350 7.3 turbo part # 6F089. The locial ford people says it has been discontuied help

I am now told it is a waste valve check and was told it kicks in the turbo. My mercanic has patched the hole that was in float looking part and we will see how this works .The ford dealer in Orlando said the only one to be found in north americia was in cal. for 350.00

 

I be thinkin I'd be lookin for another mechanic. What is the engine doing that is wrong ???? And why does this lead the mechanic to believe it is the waste gate actuator ???

 

Thanks He told me this part was where my oil leak was. Anyway someone else found my oil leak and we are going to the beach
this weekend for our first camping trip .I hope the hole he covered up was not supposed to be their and my new(to me) 94truck dumpes me. thanks again for your response.E.C.

 

I believe that hole should be there. There should be no (to speak of) oil there either. Good luck
