speedo

Ok maybe im the only one but when i did my rearend swap last year my speedo is way off . I mean if im going 55 it reads 70 and i know even with a 2.73 and 4 speed od im not going a 85 mph at 1900 rpms. Anyone else run into this problem?

At the end of the speedo cable there is a plastic gear that connects to your trans. The gears on that cable are specific to your gears, so try and get the plastic gear from the speedo cable your rear end came from. If all you did was change the ring/pinion, then you need to find one of these gears for the new gears you are running. They come off easily.
