I have an '06 CCLB 250 with the V10, 212K on the clock. Still pulls the camper well and is still strong. Only issues I've had since purchasing it with 185K is the oil pan gasket and the oil filter backing plate, and I lose vacuum while towing.

This is my previous 2006 V10 and my current 2009 V10. I really like these trucks! I put spark plugs in my 06 and just had the limited slip rebuilt in my 09. Decent power, reasonable fuel mileage and very reliable motors.

my 09 has been flawless AFTER Ford replaced the engine under warranty at 50k because of damage before I bought it. About 40k running a 5 star tune. Pulls my 12-15k toyhauler almost like a diesel at 4k rpm. It refuses to pas a gas station though. Oil changes, fuel filter, air filter about a 1/10 of a diesel.......A fuel injector is about 40 bucks vs 400.00 I still miss the diesel "slingshot" power and economy but the v10 is reliable and cheap to maintain except for fuel.

My neighbor gets 5mpg towing his 5'er with his gasser f250. At 60mph, I get up to 15mpg towing my 5'er with my PSD. I'll keep my diesel beast, love it.

after a complete tune up ,coil packs and all. I get between 11.5 -14.5 mpg. Depending on stop and go , short trips.. it still has the tow power. The only thing is mine has a bad valve , so it uses a Lil bit of oil. I'm kinda in your shoes of which way to go ,( power stroke or v10). But I've had no reason not to buy another v10.

My 09 F350CC 3v has been awesome except for the small gas tank, I would be totally satisfied if I could have a 40+ gallon tank, I am looking to get an Excursion but since they didn't come with the 3v the v10 is out for towing my 30' toyhauler, the 3v tows pretty nice but I don't think the 2v and 4spd auto would even come close to the 3v 5 speed auto, so i have decided to go a 6.0 PSD bulletproofed without the nice upgrades of the 08+ trucks. I'll bet my 3v v10 on the 91 octane tune will tow almost or as good as a stock 6.0, with this tune the v10 is probably 400hp-490-500tq vs325hp-560 tq just at a much higher rpm and using much more fuel.
