The Kidd250 Yeh i read about this problem awhile back
Kind of been keeping quite about it. Glad you brought it up. About time. Boy isnt funny when their is problem with the cummins or duramax everybody on this site is the last to hear about it. When ford has problems everybody tries to run them down as much as they can. Dont want us to run there trucks down anymore than we have. Oh well when your the truck leader as many years as Ford has been. There is a bullsey on your head. The shots will keep coming. Lets see if the cummins guys admit there just might be a problem. Come on guys fess up. Were waiting.

"Sad part is...it sounds like a Powerstroke". That was classic. I guess you guys skipped over that line.
This is not a major issue. The trucks are still driveable, and the flash actually fixes the problem.
With the PSD, the problems completely paralyze the truck, and Ford still doesn't have it 100% under control.
I'd say there is no reason to compare this to what happened with the 6.0L PSD launch. These issues aren't even in the same league.

I am not trying to be mean to any owners with the 6.0L but hello. Ford has gotten up of thier asses and fixed the problem. I am sorry for the people that got with the early 03 junk but they have worked thier problems out. I dont see any 04 6.0L owners complaning either. Like i said before my boss has bought 2 new 6.0L and both with 10,000 now and 0 problems. So i cant wait to see what the new cummins holds instore and i garrantee they are gonna keep having the same problems.

There is quite a bit of misinformation on this subject circulating about. I have the new Cummins 600. And my injectors aren't leaking. I can't say 100% of the Cummins 600 engines injectors don't leak. I can only tell you that mine don't. There was a issue people have reported in regard to hesitation in shifting at 2000 RPM, but I have not had this problem either. I have also read the posts regarding leaky injectors. So I popped my hood open and looked. Over a 1000 miles and my engine is so clean you could eat off it. In regards to the 600 sounding like the PSD, I would have to differ on that. My neighbor has a 03 PSD with a 6.0 (later model) and his truck is quite a bit louder than mine. His turbo in particular (which seems to start whining right as he pulls into his driveway for some odd reason). Gas mileage between the two is comparable. I am getting about 16 mpg. From what I have read on the 6.0, most people are getting about the same. I do anticipate with a true diesel inline engine (not a coverted gasser) my Cummins 600 will outlast the average PSD. They are both nice rigs though. If I could, I would have one of each.

BTW...I love the new Dodge commercial. If you haven't seen it, a guy pulls up in a new Dodge and tows away a F-250. Dodge is getting very aggressive in their marketing. As mentioned previously, BTW...the new flash seems to fix the problem in regards to the hesitation. If you think about it, about a month after the engines hit the street and the problem is fixed. Thats a lot better handling of a problem like this than Ford demonstrated.

From what I've read on the Cummins 600, I wouldn't say they are having injector problems. I'd say it's a installation problem. The robot or the person at the factory needs to be recalibrated to make sure the injectors are tightened to the proper specs.
With the 6.0L PSD, the problem isn't the install, it's an engineering defect in the injectors. Basicly the injectors can't do what the engineers thought they could do. Plus the early injector's design is known to fail and even with the new design, I'm reading about failures.
