Everything was as described. The computer is bolted on one side and hinged on the other. When i swung it toward the pedals to slide out the cover to read my code. What cover? just a solid piece of metal in a plastic case. I am positive that I was at the engine computer. All that is there is a solid sealed metal box with a plastic cover.
Weird... I hope mine isn't the same. I'll let you know when I find out.

It's not all the 04 5.4s. It's only certain computer codes like mine.

If the computer has a wiring harness held in place with a single 10mm bolt its chippable. Some of the newer EEC-V computers don't have a removable service port cover but tin snips take care of that!

HA! Rip her open!
BZS2 yet Ken??? If not, I'll just send you my computer. Hate to do it because my truck will be down for a couple days, but I will. I think the lady I spoke with on the phone at your place said $35 or $40 for the reprogram. Does that still hold true? She said if I overnight it to you, you can over night it back right?
I have the three position Diablo Sport chip and I'd like to have the stock, 91+ octane as well as the 87 octane program. I'm really looking for the shifting improvements more than anything so I can still use the cheaper fuel. Don't get me wrong, I want some extra power too if possible!

Sorry Ken, I just noticed I basically asked you a lot of the same old questions... Nevermind.
