Well I`ve finally found the truck that I`ve been looking for & it has "almost" everything that I wanted except the adjustable pedals. Does anyone know if these can be added or if these are factory installed only ??? Thanks in advance ....
My wife was "almost" everything I wanted, except for the...well, you know. I got to love the little imperfections!
Hey, the '70's platforms are coming back. Maybe they'll help.
Good luck.
I originally ordered my truck with the adjustable pedals, but then had to change it when the factory responded that adjustable pedals on a V-10 were late availability and I wasn't willing to wait until November.
My wife really wanted the adjustable pedals, and I thought that they might be useful for adjusting your driving position on long trips. However, when we found out we'd have to wait several months to get them, we went and test drove a SCrew with the pedals to see how important they were to us. Neither of us liked the pedals adjusted to any position except all the way down (the default location for regular pedals). So, we punted the pedals, saved the $100+ bucks and got our truck months earlier.
Before you decide to pass on the truck, go drive one with the adjustable pedals. You might just find that they aren't all that you thought that they'd be.

If the "other " dont like it I`ll tell her to get some "platforms" .... In a few days there will be one sweet truck in my driveway ... Can`t wait ..
by the way Ford extended the special financing til Nov.20
For what it's worth, my wife didn't like the pedals adjusted forward either, primarily because as they move forward (i.e., towards the seat), they seem to move higher as well. This means that you don't seem to be able to easily rest your heal on the floorboard and just rotate your foot from gas to brake.
The only people I can see who would really need the adjustable pedals are those who are so small that they need them in order to get far enough away from the airbag.

RedV10 is right. Only the very small would need the adjustable pedal. As a firefighter, I've been witness to too many 'short-person-too-close vs. the airbag'.
