Just bought lift

i just bought a 6" superlift for my truck today. what is involved with putting this thing on. i've never done it or know anyone who has so i could use some help on what it takes to do it. i heard the back was a piece of cake but the front you had to grind of rivets and replace with bolts. Maybe a resource with step to step? any help i would appreciate.

The front is alot of work by yourself.Youll need a grind off rivot heads then punch them out some are too tight might have to driil them out to.Need a puller for pitman arm.Thats on pretty tight.Definatly need a big hammer.good floor jack and jack stands under frame and let axle drop down.If your lift came with longer radius arms measure as close as you can.Took me 3 weekends to lift my 93 f150 .

Check the rear u-bolts on the rear springs and make sure they have enough thread for your lift. I did a superlift 4" and had to get longer u-bolts for the add a leafs. The front is time consuming, I would order new shock mounts and radius arm brackets from Ford before you start. I needed them on my 94 and I didn't realize it until after I had it apart, my truck was down for 3 weeks because of it. If you don't need them you can return them and if you do at least you can still drive your truck while you wait for them to come in.

Add a leafs are an option for the rear, you can either get the cheapest way which is blocks, add a leafs or complete springs which is the most expensive. If you don't already have complete springs I would get them. When I put in my add a leafs I found a factory leaf broken and it would have been easier to replace the entire piece so I don't break a leaf later on. I also like the rake that trucks have and w/ the add a leafs it is levelled out.
