1948 f1 flat bed flat 6
Hello,
would appreciate any help on a price for this pu.
Green with flat bed.
Looks restored on interior but not original seat cover and it has what looks like a snap on covering for the head liner. Has all the mirrors and such with original looking gauges.
the owner has a sign on it for $4000.
No overt rust.

Need more info. What part of the country are you in?
Does it run, smoke, knock, rattle, etc?
How much bondo? What are the tires like, steering tight or lots of play in wheel? etc, etc.
Tranny shift ok and not make noise?
The price would be fair for one I would expect to just get in and start driving, but wasn't a show truck. Just a decent, solid performer. Could expect some minor wear and tear from normal use, but shouldn't have anything major that needs fixing.
To give you some idea, I have about $6000 (just parts) in rebuilding my '48 daily driver from the ground up. I figure I could sell it and get maybe $3500 out of it. That's just the way the market is for these trucks.

Thanks for the reply,
The 48 F1 is a three owner originally from Tulsa owned by grandfather and grandson and still in Oklahoma. No bondo noticeable. Doesn't smoke and tranny seems fine. Was a farm truck I understand but it isn't dented as is usual. Bottom dollar is $3800.0 as of today.
