Hey all.

I just had the 40 series delta flowmaster installed on the truck and ordered the MAC air induction system. That should give me around 20 horses.

I have a few odd ball questions for you guys:

Grill inserts: are they worth it? I mean, do they look cheap or are they a good idea. I hate the plain, blah grill that I have (2001 F-150 V6 4.2L). I was wondering if the grill inserts are worth the money.

Performance chips: Are they worth it and if so, I hard are they to install? Will it give the truck a faster pickup?

Wax, yes wax: What kind of wax do you all use?

Exhaust tips: Are they really necessary?

On the wax part I prefer to use Meguiers brand products and Adams butter wax.

 

You will have the exact same exhaust and Intake I have when the intake comes in. You'll love them I promise.

Chips: They are definately worth it if you get the right one. Go for the Diablo Chip found at www.motorhaven.com You can't go wrong with that chip. I have the 2 Stage Diablo chip and immediatley felt a nice difference in power.

Exhaust tips on a V6 in my opinion would sound terrible unless you were running true duals out the back.

I don't know too much about wax.

Grill inserts are very nice if you get a good one. Some of the are ugly as sin, and some of them aren't. Just get whatever you like because what you like is all that really matters.
