Towing With the Big Six

My little brother is a chevy guy gasp, but he bought an 300 six from my dad recently. Was impressed with it's towing ability.

Can anyone recommend anything to help it's towing/power.

Thanks

Dave

The good old I6 is perfect for towing. The one thing I can recommend is if you are towing a lot and you have an automatic tranny, install a large transmission cooler. It will help prolong transmission life. Nice pic!

I drive a 1982 F250 4x4, manual trans, 3.54 rear and a 300 i6. I pull a 4500# goose neck horse traler loaded with 1, 1200# horse, 1, 1000# horse and about 600# people and gear, I don't have a problem. On hills when the chebys are down shifting I don't!
