4.6 Upgrades or are they?
I have a 97 f-150. I had a chip, 3" flow pro cat back, gibson headers and a K&N FIPK. I just put on a 75mm BBK throttle body and a motorvator TBS. Seems that up until 2500 rpms it dogs but after its snaps your head back. Any one have any idea where all of my low end went?

Low End
I suspect it was in the headers. Some headers are for more top end for the engine.
It is important to get headers tuned for what you want. A fast powerful car would probably want top end.
A truck or suv will probably want low end torque. Its all in the header diameter and tuning or the way they are bent and shaped.

Headers on a stock 97 aren't going to get you much.
The cheap way to make these fast is install a PI intake, and PI cams, with a tune you should be very close to what the PI motors make, and remember you don't have pi heads yet.
After you uncork the intake, and get the heads fully ported, then you can move onto headers, and get some big NA power.

Your right in that I did lose some low end when I put the headers on, but when I installed the throttle body and spacer I made it way worse.
