Which are louder......

which mufflers are louder glasspacks or turbo mufflers? i want some mufflers that will give a nice loud V8 sound but i dont want to blow my ear off either.

what about cherry bombs, are they loud? i know they have real good flow.

Cherry bombs sound great. Not alot of crackle but real deep and loud but not like some gp's or str8s.

Short (12") glasspacks will be louder than turbo mufflers. Have a snappy, crackly sound to them. Longer glasspacks will be deeper and more mellow.

ill probably go with the cherry bomb i wont a deep and fairly loud muffler.

what about the cherry bomb made by thrush? i know you can get them fairly cheap at the auto store chains. also the dual exhaust system im gettin the tailpipes come out right in fornt of the rear wheels and im worried it will heat up my tires and cause premature tire failure. also does anybody know of a dual exhaust you can get for a 66 2wd truck where the tailpipes come out at the rear bumper? i couldnt find any.

I have the thrush cherry bombs with 3" pipes that come out in front of the tires.. has never done anything to my tires and its loud...

The dynomax race bullets are a great muffler! If you want real loud, you should get one. They are 4" round (3" of which is flow through, and the other inch is only perforated metal). It acts like a muffler at idle, but functions like a straight pipe under acceleration. I ran two on an old 76 F250 I had, and all I can say is wow.
