When did ford change 8 lug x6.5 hole to 8 x 170 hole pattern

Lightbulb When did ford change 8 lug x6.5 hole to 8 x 170 hole pattern

What year did or when did ford switch from the 8 lug on 6.5 hole pattern to a 8 lug x 170mm hole pattern I thought I got a good deal on some winter rims and tires off a 02 excursion they were the steel wheels and centers but they wouldnt fit m 97 f250hd crew I gess I should of done alittle more reading before I got them

The bolt pattern changed when Ford introduced the "Super Duty" line of trucks for the 1999 model year.

just for the record...they are alos "hubcentric" which means the lugnuts dont center the wheel

does anybody know what 6.50 means vs. 170mm
does 6.50 = 165mm ???

yes they are equal to 165mm and ford has gone to a new bolt pattern for the f-350 drw trucks but i can't remember the exact size now.

6.5" = 165.1mm

170mm = 6.69"

That 5mm doesn't sound like a lot, but the wheels DO NOT fit. They are about 3/16" different.
