need some info 2000 expl xlt
I have a 2000 explorer xlt that just broke 36k but I seem to have some weird problems. Twice I have been driving stopped at a stop light and bam she stalls out. I had diagnostics run got it checked no problems according to the dealerhip but it just happened again. Both instances were months apart and during long drives. Also I brought her in for the factory recalls on the cruise control and seat bolt then all of sudden the cruise control doesnt work. I dont know to much about vehicles but any help or reccomendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Fade

Welcome to FTE, Fade! As to the stalling, I would suspect the IAC. Do a search, and you'll find loads of info on them. They are easy to clean or replace. In fact, look at the "sticky" at the top of this section on IAC's.
The only thing I might suggest on the cruise control, is to check for a possible blown fuse. (It should be in the power distribution box, on the driver's side engine compartment.)

I would not put it past the iac valve being bad.I work at a dealer and replaced a lot of iac valves for this problem.The only thing it is hard to say what is worng with intermit problems but iac valves caused a lot problems so would not be afraid to replace it.For the speed control concern if it work before the recall i would take it back.They should of check to see if it works properly after the recall was performed.
