I'm New user this is actually my first post on this Board. Anyway I have a few questions about the truck i just purchased. I just got a 1996 F-150 with a 300 6 with an Automatic trans. which just replaced my rusted out 1986 F-150.

What is the factory power rating of the FI 300 6?

Does my truck have the AOD trans or the A4OD Trans?

Has anyone installed a B&M shift kit and was the results worth the effort?

More than likely you have the E40D, or the 4R70W, but either of them are alright transmissions i'd assume.

I've never personally owned one, but this is what i can tell you.
