?429 or 460?
Hi,
I just bought what is supposed to be a 429ci with a C6 tranny. I'd like to make sure what exactly it is, but cant find out for sure. The head numbers are C8VE-E (this number is also on the block above the starter). On the front of the block on the passenger's side is 8E15N and 8Y142913. That last number is also on top of the tranny, along with a tranny ID tag on the side that reads "YGB J 068548". There also looks to be "460" written reversed on the front driver's side of the block. The transmission is all aluminum and appears to have a oil/tranny cooler like the 428 and 429SCJ's had. Can someone help me to identify if this is a 429 or a 460? Thanks.
