Come even if you don't have it running. I took Dad's truck on a trailer last year and will again this year, albeit with and engine, tranny, EFI intake, and front suspension this time that weren't on last year. And, Big Blue may also be down for a serious set of mod's (EEC-V EFI, ZF5, frame fix, serpentine belts, 3G, etc) this year, so he may not make it.

So even if you don't bring the truck, come and talk to the others. Lots of people from this forum, other forums, etc will be there.

Hey All, Trey Quaranta here from Broken Arrow. Just wanted to introduce myself. Just bought this 77' F-100 today for $600. It needs a c6 that will bolt up to a 351m if anyone knows of one for sale!

Welcme, I don’t have a c6 right now for a 351 m but I will keep an eye out. Are you looking for a core ore one that’s already rebuilt?

We are leaving the new ‘60 F250 body and dash as is. She needs new floors, PB, PS, Disc brakes up front if I can figure out how, new wheels and tires and possibly dropped a few inches. That’s 8-lug F250 stuff doesn’t have any Bolt on kits available. So I’ll have to find someone who knows how to use later Parts or knows the Dana 44 & 60 axles well enough to build something. Or I might just find some 1/2 ton axles for it. But the patina is staying which is why we bought her.

Here is the ‘64 F100 and ‘66 U13 Bronco. Bought the Bronco as you see it. Unfortunately she was too far modified to be worth going back stock. So we are getting everything under the hood and body restored to modern conveniences. Four wheel power discs, PS, 302 w/FiTech.

Both are very good looking trucks!!! I would do the same with the Bronco, it'd make a safer vehicle.

Tulsa mechanic

Hey folks, new to the area. I’m looking for a little help with my 1978 F150 custom. It has been in the family since the showroom and is great shape. Unfortunately it’s about time to start replacing some parts. I was hoping to find a good, reliable mechanic in Tulsa that works on classic trucks that can replace some gaskets and do a good tune up. I am sure all the fluids could use a change as well. Any good recommendations would be appreciated. Cheers!

Welcome TBone! I can't recommend a mechanic, but I can tell you that 9 times out of 10 you're paying someone to do what he doesn't want to do anyway, and they'll probably do something you don't like, or something that isn't in the best interest of your truck. There are soooo many horror stories that range from simple neglect to downright dangerous mechanic work on older trucks.

This forum is VERY thorough. Have you thought about just replacing the gaskets yourself as a fun little project? That way you know they're done right and you get to put hands on your baby, knowing YOU fixed her. You can probably do the whole list there in about a weekend or two.

Welcome T-bone, where in Tulsa are you? This shop had quite a few old cars last time I drove past it. creitzauto.com they are on 46th street a little bit East of memorial. I've never been in there though. If your near Owasso, pinnaclerepairs.com works on older stuff. I've used them in the past, but I think they've gotten to busy and seem to pick and choose what they want to work on. They are constantly busy though.
