I have an 89 f350 w/ the 460 automatic. It needs a new oil pan badly what a surprise! How in the hell do you get the dam thing out of there with out takin the whole freakin engine out? Is ther anyway I can cut the bottom half of the pan out and then weld some sheet metal or an aluminzed "bucket" or something else in its place? Little help here thanks.
If you gan get it down low enough to reach up in there and unbolt thee pick-up tube, you may be able to finese it out of there. I can't say for sure though.

As was stated, the motor has to be raised up to get the pan out. It can be done without taking the motor out, but there are a number of steps you will need to take. It is all covered in the Haynes repair manual and well worth the $15.
i dont know for shure if there the same, but as jimmy said, try unbolting the pan and reach up inside, and with a wrench unbolt the pickup then finess the pan out. reverse the steps to re install.
dont know for sure if it will work but it worked on my 88 f150 with a 302 fi. i think things are just as tight or maybe tighter on that one
