Identifying a Mercury Crank

I need help identifying a crank I have. It has 5/8 sludge trap plugs. It it possible to measure the stoke with the crank outside of the engine? Also there is a deep scratch on one of the journals. Would it be worth while to get the crank built up? It already has been ground mains 20 rods 30.

Identifying a Mercury crank

It been a long time but I think the 3 3/4 in stroke is a Ford crank. I think the Merc and also the Canadian Monarch were 4" cranks. This is after 49.
