last shot at some 71 parts

I have stripped down my parts truck, it is a 71 explorer model. Whats left is going to the crusher saturday. If you need anything let me know, I have just about everything. Even a great cab, this was a texas truck. I am in Jackson Tn.

I'm looking for front fenders, that front sheet metal piece that is just behind the bumper and a 4bbl manifold. Do you have any of that, and if so how does it look? I'm in Chattanooga, but I have a friend who visits Jackson about once a month and I know she'd get it for me.

I have a driver side fender, and the front peice, if you want them I will set aside for you. These are free parts, just do not want them to go to waste.

How is the fender? My drivers' side is decent (my passenger side is a total loss, dad put it in a ditch). I had to hacksaw the front piece in half to get it off, the fender was totally wrapped around the bolts. If you don't mind, do put it aside. I'll mail you off the board.

driverside is excellent, the passengerside is already promised to someone else, the other part I will set aside. I took most of it aprt, so these parts are already off truck.

Okay then, I'll take the fender and the other piece. I should have said MARGINALLY decent on my drivers' side fender.

BTW, thanks for the response to my towing question.

Have you thought about parting some of it out? It seems a shame to let a good cab be crushed.

I saved the cab, it is in great shape, cab mounts have no rust. The only thing left headed for the steel plant is the suspension, bed, and frame.

Iagree, I would much rather see them used then made into toasters. Update, the rest will still be here for another week or so, and I still have a garage full of parts. I actually enjoyed taking the parts truck apart, it taught me a lot about my truck.

Sorry, it is parts from a long bed truck, I have other parts, and these parts are free, just wanting to see them go to good use.

If ever you want to see how anything works, just take it apart - doing that with a truck is the best way to learn about it. Prior to modern medicine, and computers, the way surgeons learned their craft, was dismantling old models.... cadavers.. without that fun project, they would not know how the thing (us) worked.
