Crawl under the van at the driver’s door. Look up. It’s located on the inside of the frame/rail. It a cylindrical can shape. Two clips hold the fuel lines. One on each end. One clamp holds the filter. Watch for the fuel flow direction. Don’t reverse the filter. It’s really simple to change and will not take long.
It goes without being said…remove fuel pressure, work on stands/ramps not jacks…the usual.
This would be the perfect time to go to an auto parts store & spend the 15 bucks for a Haynes manual. It will tell you where the filter is, how to release the fuel system pressure (very simple) so you dont spray yourself with fuel & how to remove & replace the filter.
I took the passenger's kick panel loose and found the fuel cutoff switch. It has a red reset button on it. I unplugged it and then tried to start the engine. I also removed the fuel cap.
Put a pan under the filter because there will still be fuel in the lines.
