91 2WD Rotor Warping

OK, I know the stock front rotors on my 91 2WD have warping issues, but I replaced mine only 30K ago and they're shot already. Yes, I torqued the lugs properly. Anyone have any ideas on how to reduce warpage , short of drilled and vented rotors at $100 a piece with ceramic pads? Thanks.

Have you inspected your calipers. A bad caliper or bad slides can cause damage to rotors.
Also, from personal experience, if you bought "lifetime" warranty pads, they will destroy rotors at an alarming rate. Sure, you never have to buy pads again, but you'll be replacing rotors once a year, some bargain.

Yep, the calipers and slides work fine. Ford has a technical advisory that says that overtorquing of the lug nuts causes rotor warping but I torqued them perfectly and still it happened.

Nah, my uncle owns a NAPA store and I know all about the "lifetime warranty" game.
