Canister under window squirts
I just found out that a canister thing under my window squirts was rusted and pretty much gone. I replaced it with a beautiful cobjob of ductape and an old coffee can. Does anyone know what this canister does? There is a vaccume hose that is t-d off and goes to the intake manifold and to the circular thingy by the brake power booster with a cable going from it to the throttle (the choke?). What is that too.

Just make sure the Canister you fabricated it airtight and actually holds a vacuum. If not, then not only does it defeat it's purpose, but if it leaks, it will cause other problems like high/rough idle.
