Theres some truth to that. You'd be surprised how much hp you really do need to be competitive in mud bogs/drags though. The competitions that I run, you've got a minimum of 2' of gooey mud dragging at your tires...I'd say I've just barely got enough muscle to make 44" boggers work effectively on these courses. I've seen guys put in their crate 502's, then screw on 44" tires and get whooped by much smaller motors and tires in the mud lanes. Its funny.....started by racing on dirt...graduated to racing on the track...now I'm downgraded all the way to racing in mud!

Mud drags takes more skill then drag racing ever did. I have always thought a 2WD mud drag would be fun.

Yea, I was really surprised at how much I've enjoyed since getting into it some years back. Different challenges I guess. I have to agree that its much more technical.
