Manual transmission

Hey guys,
I'm thinking about picking up a 1989 bronco.
I have a 1994 and its an automatic, is there
anything I need to know about broncos and manual transmissions. That is what this 1989 is.

uh..its a bronco, iwth a manual? haha, more reliable..abuot it haha, what are u trying to find out..pretty much its the same as a manual in any truck?

Sorry if it was an idiotic question...LOL
Yeah, I just wanted to know if there were every any
issues with it...Reliability compared to ford auto trans...
Stuff like that...

It will most likely be the M5OD, possibily the T-18 but I doubt it. The M5OD is a light duty tranny but it holds up fairly well, it has some issues but nothing too serious. As far as comparing it to the automatics, it will last just as long (maybe longer) but isn't as sturdy.
