Question small block water pumps with original radiator

I've put a '66 289 in my '56 f-100. the water pump is a passenger side inlet, but the original radiator needs a drivers side inlet. Does a 302 driver side water pump fit on the 289 front timing cover? Any help is appreciated.

Yes, my truck is a 1950 with a 1968 302 that had the passenger side inlet like a 289. A 70s waterpump was used with no problems on the original timming cover. The timming mark will be covered by the inlet so another one will haft to be rigged also some bolt holes will not be used by the later pump but it will bolt in and seal.
