I hear a sort of click noise when the A/C is switched to Max A/C mode. I just had the blower replaced at the dealership but that did not help I was wondering does anybody know what it could possibly be so I can take it back to the dealership and show them what to look for.
It is a 2003 Ford Explorer and the blower was replaced because they thought that was the problem. The clicking noise is all of the time. Not just one time
I am taking it back in the dealership on THursday. Yeah the noise gets louder. I think there maybe something in the recirculation is broke and is flapping around in the Max A/C only. Yeah on the other setting that are not the reciculation mode it is fine. It is only in that Max A/C mode.
The clicking noise may be the low pressure switch cycling. The new Explorers have a new AC compressor that appears to be too large. My 2003 Explorer AC cycles on-off every 15 seconds when driving over 20 mph, even during 95 degree days and with a hot cabin. Ford replaced every major part except the evap coil and refrigerant lines. Ford finally said they have no fix.
