I hooked up to my buddies SAS Suburban, at first we went 4 wheel on mine and two wheel on his being that we havent got the front driveshaft for his.(and of course I pulled him) Then we went two and two and we sat still, doesnt help that I had no wait in the back of my short bed and he had 5 people in his, but he does have 39's and my 38's held him.

There is a video link out there my son showed me and it was an Expedition 4x4 going against a Hummer in the mud. It was a tie. Then they went to the pavement and of course the Hummer won because of weight but it was fun to watch and I was impressed by the Expedition.
If I can find it I will post it...

I have a stock 02' F-350 V-10 on 33's. I'm the only guy with the Ford. All of my buddies have Chevy's. We get a few beers in us and they all start doggin on my Ford. Well, lets just say I've got the braggin rights on tug a war! None of them pulled the Ford. The shortest I pulled one was about 5-10 ft. It was a 2500 HD Duratrash, oops, Dypermax, oops, Duramax. Needless to say, he wouldn't talk to me the rest of the night! Oh well, I guess these Chevy guys will never learn.

I work at a postal processing facility in Portland, OR. When we had an ice storm in January, the truck dock was neglected and built up with packed ice. As the parking lot was downhill to the dock, a lot of trucks were getting stuck at the dock. Wanting to go home instead of waiting for help with the trucks, I hooked my new rig up to a semi (48 foot trailer included) and gave it a pull. It worked! I ended up doing it again. Thes rigs probably weighed around 50k pounds. Wish I had pictures.

I had a 97 F-150 Ext.Cab totally stock and one of my chevy drivin', panty waist, sissy boy co-workers started in on me about pullin' my truck so I told him to hook em' up ! We had another guy flag us an My FORD snatched his Chevy 1500 w/ 33's about 15 feet before he started squeelin' like a little girl for me to stop
It is funny how they don't want to talk to you for the rest of the day aint it !

I had a 1976 F150 Regular cab 4x4 with full time four wheel drive and a 390 engine. I had tall truck tires on that beast.
It would go anywhere. I almost stuck it once so I purchased a Ramsey RE8000 winch and put it on the front.
I never stuck that truck. I ran it for 15 years and sold it to a hunting buddy. He is still using it.
That truck never got stuck but I pulled out many
Chevy Diesals. Jeep CJ7's Toyota Land Cruiser,
Ford 8N Tractors and many more. If someone got stuck they would get me. Most of the time I would not even use the winch. I would just drive arround then and back up to them and pull them through the mud hole.
The secret was the tall narrow stiff side wall tires. You had to have tall enought tires to get to solid ground. Wide tires would clog up and just spin.
The only problem with it is it got 8 MPG no matter what!
The hunting lease was in Grimes County Texas. We had four creeks to cross and the whole place would go under water. Including the parking lot for the cabin.
THe starter would get packed with mud. I purchase a lifetime warrenty unit from AutoShack now AutoZone. I replaced it each year. It would get packed with mud and fail. AutoZone replaced it at least 10 times for free.
That was the best 4x4 I ever had!. I have had a bronco II and a 1991 F150 4x4 after that. Neither could hold a stick to the 1976 although the bronco came close. It was light enought it would almost walk on water. I did not test it like the F150. I purchased the broncoII as a second car to use when the 1976 was torn down getting the dirt out of the Differentials and bearnings. That happened ounce a year.
My current2001 F250 Super cab 4x4 V10 reminds me a lot of the 1976. I have not had a chance to test it. Time will tell. I still have that RE8000 winch which will be on the truck before next Hunting season.
