Question 99 Eddie Bower Expedition Awd

Just Purchased my First used 99 Expediton, I love it, I love it, I love it. Oh Did i Mention I love it? Well anyway it's used very clean 5.4 Triton AWD, 80K and i want to do Maintenence on it myself, What do i look for besides the basic fluids, Oil, coolant, Trans.

Check the manual....you should have a maintenance schedule with it unless someone took it for whatever reason.


Lays it out nicely every 5,000 miles.

Came with a nice leather case for Manuels, but nothing inside. I know they sell them on e-bay maybe i'll try to get one. Thanks for the info..

Hey Joe welcome aboard. Our first order of business is the spelling of "Bauer."

Now, unless you have records from the previous owner, you should do the fluids, fuel filter, pcv valve, clean MAF sensor, check air filter. You also might want to pull one of the plugs to determine if they've ever been changed. Ford says they're good for 100K miles, but somewhere between 70K and 90K is probably a good rule of thumb for replacement.
