I was wondering whether to not it would be worth the money to put a dual exhaust system in my bronco. I have been trying to find some information if it would be good to have. Any recommendations for a deep-throaty sounding dual exhaust system. I also have a tech. question. I have power windows and power door locks...the windows work but the door locks do not with the button on the door. It had an alarm in it; and the key fab doesn't activate the locks either...i was wondering if these could be tied in together. I have checked the fuses and the power door lock fuse is the same as the tailgate window and the window works???
Search the forum...lots of posts regarding dual exhaust. By the way, I went single all the way with a new high-flo cat...runs great and sounds great. 3". Check the wiring on the door locks and try to get them to work before integrating your alarm. Might be time to replace the actuators or it might just be a loose wire.
Take off the door panel and pull off the switches to the door locks (might as well do the power window switches too) .
Make sure the contacts where the switches plug in are clean, and then spray the switches in all the nooks and crannies with Electric Contact spray cleaner. Hose em down, shake out the excess and let them dry for a while. Pick up a package of the door trim connectors for your model at the auto parts store, you're sure to break a few getting the inside door panel off. Good Luck,.
A true dual exhaust will require custom work, as there's virtually nothing offered for the Broncos due to routing around the transfer case. Easiest thing to do is install a single high-flow cat and one muffler with dual exits. IF you route the tailpipes straight out the back under the bumper, you can get fumes thru the back window when it's slightly open or even the front windows. I've seen many with turndowns at the muffler or run the tailpipes behind the tires. Any type of free-flowing exhaust should help your EFI 302, just check your state & local emissions laws.
