Now becoming available. High quality kits designed specifically for the Ford OHV 3.0. Has been retrofitted to a 98, but is designed for 02 & up to be carb certified and retain factory warrenty. Estimated cost $2600. Cost from Ford dealer is of yet unknown. Included new throttle body, 4.0 MAF, computer reflash, intake, filter, and larger injectors. Bumps horsepower to 230 and torque to 260. Can be installed with no other engine mods.

 

I think you are wrong it has not been put on a 98 it was a 01 that it was fit on and that was a prerelase kit, you can not buy it yet. and to install on the 01 he needed a 02 lower intake and remove the EGR.

Actually, the retrofitted truck was a 99 and he changed some parts. I will quote him from a different board that I visit:

"...on my 99' and make the effort to redesign the kit to work. I simply swapped to a 02up lower intake but I also had to swap injector connectors, mass air flow connectors, and totally remove my EGR..."

So far, this guy loves the kit and has even tested it on a chevy. (evil grin) Nothing bad from it, yet.
