Hey all- my truck needs some major work to pass PA inspection. Last night I managed to rip off and replace a cracked passenger side exhaust manifold. Todays project is motor mounts. Is it as simple as it looks? 3 bolts and jack up the engine a bit? My luck doesn't allow for simple projects! The front brake hoses gotta be done too but look pretty straight forward. Any tips and advice for either job will be appreciated.
The rubber bushings have a big bolt running thru them, remove the top and bottom nuts from that bolt and you should be able to pull the rubber bushings out of the engine and chassis brackets if you can jack the engine up about 1 1/2 inches.
Advice from a 2wd drive with 4.9L guy...may not be accurate for your truck, thats how my 1992 works. Good Luck
