I read in another forum that the Explorer overhead console will fit in the Superduty. Has anyone heard of this or tried it? Can you send me a pic? I am interested in trying this for my F-250SD Extended cab.
Why? Do you already have an Explorer that will "donate" it? Seems it would be just as easy to find a SD overhead console or one from an Excursion. I know where there are a few wrecked ones.
Good point,I have tried all the local (Baton Rouge, LA.) wrecking yards and no one has a SD or an Excursion. Ford expects for you to pay top dollar on all of their parts, so I would like to find a cheaper route.
monsta could you give me the locations of the junck yards that have
the wrecked superdutys with the overhead consoles? I have been looking for one for months!thanks
I'm sorry...the thread seemed to run away from the original question....
Can anyone share the solution to the Explorer to SuperDuty console quest?
I would like to add an overhead console to a truck that has none (XLT) and would really appreciate any ideas or suggestions to keep the factory look of a Lariat.
Or perhaps a source for an Excursion / SuperDuty graveyard in New England
