when i rebuilt it i bought a 390 crank and used my 360 rods blew out a piece of the piston about 1" long broke compression ring missing about 2.5" mostly embeded in my brand new edel heads, and put a nice sized groove in my #7 cylinder wall. about a $2000 or more oops (more if i cant fix that head) havent had money or time since to get to my machinist. (got married)
oh the truck runs right now i had my dad bring me his old 360 and dropped it in till i can get the 390 put back together. i think st last count my dad and i have eight fe motors between us in various states of disrepair and five vehicles to put them in at times its nice having an old man who worked in a crusheryard
