Huh, funny you mention the wife, I can barely get my better half inside, unless the RV is hooked on the back. The glazed look in her eyes, the mumbling,,, I can't be sure what she says over and over but it sounds something like; "commited", I told her I was eternally faithful and would never cheat on her, she turned and says; "not committed, as in adultery, YOU, it's YOU that oughta be commited". Wemmin, I never could figger em out,,,,,

Wife acceptance has been raised as an issue. Mine vertically challenged wife prefers the V10 to a Town Car. The wife of a cousin who bought a Dodge Crew Cab told my wife that the back seat was not comfortable after two hours. Cousin's wife noted that the Ford Crew had the extra foot in the cab. That ended any Dodge looking.
I have three friends with 4X4 f350 PSDs 1999-2001 models. Two run rural roads and agricultural property without towing. They felt that their diesel engine premium had been wasted. The third waited 120 days in '99 to get his 350 with the road rear end normally reserved for the F250. He tows a 35' Airstream at 90 MPH and is pleased with his purchase.
I calculated that the money I saved buying a used V10 truck would allow me to pay for the weekly coffee for all three guys for at least 10 years.
