Howes vs Diesel Kleen

I have been using Howes in my fuel right along and now after reading all the posts I decided to pickup some Diesel Kleen at Wal Mart. I grabbed the Cetane Booster in the grey bottle. I was wondering if I should use it with the Howes fuel additive or if Diesel Kleen does what Howes does on top of boosting cetane levels?
Thanks for the help in advance

I dont think I would mix the drinks for the scooter. Howes is pretty good product. Uncle uses it in all his diesel cars and is very pleased with the results. I would certainly pay attention to places where I buy my fuel though. I read an article on cetane boosters: the article boiled down to -- if the oil companies cant put the cetane up to acceptable levels, how can there be enough product in a 8 oz bottle to boost the tank in the truck to acceptable levels. There is my nickle and I'd be willing to bet the horse that this will start a real conversation. Enjoy the oil burner and take pride in your ride.

If you're just looking to boost cetane, I'd think either would work just fine. Remember, though, that the Diesel Kleen - gray bottle - does not help with gelling. For winter use, you should use the white bottle Power Service.

Howes anti gel is good stuff. I used Diesel Kleen (grey bottle) for a couple of years and it MIGHT have improved mileage and performance a LITTLE, but it wont prevent gelling. Stanadyne Performance Formula is THE BEST. It stops gelling and improves performance and mileage.
