Vintage56,

You should give Lyle Daniels (606-546-9389) a call as I believe he has a couple COEs. I met Lyle at the F100 Supernationals in the vender area. As a part-time job, he searches the country looking for good used 53-56 trucks and parts. He is a very nice person to work with and is located in Bimble, Kentucky. I hope this information helps you in your quest for a 1956 COE.

Lance Hogan, where have you been, haven't heard you on here since Pigeon Forge, thought maybe we said something wrong or you just didn't like the looks of us. You know I'm the good looking one, the other guy was Truxx and that skinny Lifteck dude. Hows the truck coming along, haven't done nothing to Homade except drive it and have fun this summer, later Garry, Oh say hello to dad.

Homade,

It is good to hear from you! I agree that you are the “best” looking one of the group (Truxx is a close second – if he would only lay off the donuts, ha,ha). I have not been ignoring you guys, but spending the majority of my time in Forum 51 (352, 390, 428 – FE engines) soliciting advice as I have been rebuilding my 390 FE. The engine is alive and well thus allowing me to move onto the assembly process.

All of my truck’s body parts are at the paint shop and they should complete painting by Sept. 24 (date promised by shop owner). To date, the bed panels and fenders have been painted (color: PPG Black). The cab is next.

I am very excited about reassembling the truck. I cannot count the hours I have spent on this project, but believe it will be well worth it in the end. I promise to keep you guys posted on my progress.

Lance
